From a quick quote to a professional business proposal
Both start the same way, from the business information you configured once. What separates them is how much detail the job needs after the pricing.
Quick quote
Create a professional quotation quickly using your configured business information: the customer, your products and services, quantities, pricing, VAT and tax, your terms and conditions and your company branding. One page, ready to print or send as a PDF.
Business proposal
Create a more detailed proposal-style business document from the same information, adding continuation pages for a scope of work, technical specifications, a payment schedule or longer terms. That is how a sales, technical or commercial proposal is built. Additional pages are part of the paid plans.
One form on the left. The finished quotation on the right.
QuoteSketch is quotation software with a single job: turning the details of a job into a document your customer can act on. You work down one form covering your company, the customer, the items, the pricing and the terms, and the A4 quotation builds itself beside you. There is no template to format and no layout to fight: what you see in the preview is what prints.
- A quotation builder, not accounting software. Nothing to learn before your first quote.
- Runs in the browser. Nothing to install and nothing to update.
- Quotations, VAT quotations and proposal style documents all come out of the same Builder.
Add the detail your quotation needs.
Add supporting pages for detailed specifications, scope of work, terms and conditions, tables and other information. Include a product image when it helps, or keep the page text only.
- Detailed specifications and supporting information
- Scope of work, terms and conditions and tables
- A product image when it is useful, and none when it is not
Every page prints with your header, your quotation reference and the page numbering already on it. How many pages a quotation may run to depends on your plan.
A quotation process with the complications taken out
Quoting usually costs more time than it should: last month's document reopened, prices retyped, totals worked out by hand, formatting nudged back into place. QuoteSketch removes each of those steps rather than dressing them up.
Nothing to set up first
There is no onboarding to finish before you can work. Open the Builder, write a real quotation, print it. Saving your business details is something you do once it starts paying for itself.
The arithmetic is not yours to check
Line amounts, subtotal, discount, VAT and total are calculated as you type. Change a quantity and the document updates, so the figure your customer reads is the figure the sheet produced.
Consistent documents every time
Your logo or letterhead, your standard terms, your reference numbering. Every quotation carries the same layout and the same wording, whoever in the business sent it.
Four steps, and only the first two happen once
Steps one and two are the configuration. You do them once, and every later quotation starts from them. Steps three and four are what a new quotation actually costs you.
-
1
Add your business information
Company name, address, contact details, VAT or tax number, and your logo or letterhead. Entered once, carried onto every quotation after that.
-
2
Configure your preferences
Quote message, terms and conditions, footer note, bank details, tax type and rate, currency and the reference number format. These become the defaults on every new quotation.
-
3
Add the customer and the items
Pick a saved client or type one in, then pull products and services from your saved items. Quantities and prices are yours; the amounts and totals follow on their own.
-
4
Create, send and reuse
Check the customer preview, print it or download the PDF, and send it on. Signed in, save the quotation so you can reopen, revise or reuse it later.
Everything you need for professional quotes and proposals
The parts you use on every document. Some are open to everyone, others come with an account or a plan.
- Professional Quotes
- Business Proposals
- Customer Details
- Products & Services
- Pricing & Discounts
- VAT & Tax Details
- Company Logo & Letterhead
- Terms & Conditions
- Additional Pages
- Technical Specifications
- Print & PDF
- Saved Quotes & Drafts
Also included: quote messages, footer notes, bank details, sales people, quotation references, product images, revisions and reusable quotation templates.
Configure once. Recreate in a few clicks.
Most of a document is the same every time: your company, your logo, your VAT details, your bank details, your standard terms, the customers you sell to and the products you sell. QuoteSketch asks for each of those once, then puts them on every quote and every business proposal you write afterwards.
Nothing is generated for you, and it should not be. A new document opens with your configuration already in place, so what is left is the part only you know: which customer, which items, what quantity, what price, and how much explanation the job needs after that.
Reused information is always copied, never linked. Once it is on a quotation it belongs to that quotation, and changing it there changes nothing you have saved.
Try the BuilderWhat happens after you send it
A saved quotation stays findable by reference, customer, subject, or by the code or name of any item on it, so one product code brings back every quotation it was ever quoted on.
Reuse a quote for the next customer
Reuse [New Quote] opens a fresh document with the items and content already on it. Choose the new customer, adjust the numbers, save.
Know which ones you won
Mark each one Active, Won, Lost or Postponed, with a private remark beside it. Nothing of either reaches the customer's document.
One internal page for finance
A Quotation Summary reads back the lines, the item codes and the figures on a single sheet, for the people who approve and invoice the work.
Business quotations and proposals from one Builder
QuoteSketch is a quotation builder first. In most businesses a proposal is a quotation with more explanation around it, so it is written the same way: the quote message opens the document, the terms section sets the conditions, and additional pages carry the images and specifications. There is no separate proposal module to learn.
Documents people build with it

Write a real document before you decide anything
You do not have to register to find out whether QuoteSketch suits you. Open the Builder as a guest, quote a job you are actually working on, and download the PDF. Your first quote or proposal-style document costs nothing, needs no sign-up, and needs no credit card.
As a guest, with no account
Everything needed to produce one quotation: your company and customer details, items, pricing and VAT, terms, attachments and a footer note, plus the full customer preview, print and PDF download. A guest quotation carries a small “Created with QuoteSketch” line in its footer, and it is not saved anywhere, so download or print it before you close the tab.
Signed in, when you want it to stick
Signing in is what makes the configuration worth doing. It adds saved quotations you can reopen and revise, your saved business information and branding, reusable clients, items and preset subjects, templates, additional pages, quotation reference numbering and PDF naming. What each plan includes is set out below.

Built around one stubborn problem.
Businesses quote constantly, and most of them do it in a word processor: last month's document opened, the customer's name replaced, the prices changed, the totals recalculated by hand. It works until it does not, and then it is a stale price, a wrong total, or a logo that has moved half an inch.
QuoteSketch exists because that document should not have to be rebuilt every time. Enter your business once. Save the customers and the items. Let the quotation assemble itself around them, and keep it so the next one starts from something real.
Read more about QuoteSketchFocused, on purpose
QuoteSketch does quotations. It is not an accounting suite, a CRM or an invoicing platform, and it does not ask you to run your business through it.
Reuse over re-entry
Every feature is judged by whether it saves you typing something you have already typed once.
The document is the product
What your customer receives is what matters, so the preview is the document and the PDF is the preview.
Usable straight away
No setup wizard and no onboarding call. Open the Builder and write a quotation, then save your details when you are ready.
